The little previously bit at the start of the episode was, I think, the most exciting part of this episode. That's not saying anything about the episode itself, because it was okay. It didn't make the mistakes of Human Remains (Benders MK. 2) or Criss Angel; it had both actual supernatural occurances and was about Sam and Dean. I'm just saying that the previously bit featured so much of Sam's squabbles with their dad that I was sure John's ghost was going to be in this episode. He went to hell, much like how Dean did. Only he was there longer than Dean was. I wonder how long he was down there, being tortured day in day out. I wonder how long it was before John started doing the torturing. I wonder if John is even John anymore, or whether he's one of them now (I'm not sure how long it takes for someone to go native, indeed I think it takes longer than however long John was down there but still). How awesome would it be if they came up upon their father and he had gone all demonified, and then they had to waste him. That would be one of the most awesome (and simultaneously emotional) episodes ever. So that's what I was thinking was about to happen when I saw the previously bit was wall to wall with John Winchester. As it was it was pretty good. I loved the flashbacks to when Sam and Dean were at school. Teenage Dean was awesome. I loved how their situation eventually reversed with Dean being the unpopular one once everyone realised there was nothing going on underneath his cool exterior, while Sam became the popular one once people realised that there were things going on underneath his quiet and awkward exterior. It was good, and that bully had it coming.

What I really want to know is what went on with Ruby at the end of last week's episode. It got us all excited for this one and then we find out that this one has absolutely nothing to do with the dramatic and mysterious conclusion of Criss Angel. I thought the bit with Dean as a P.E. teacher was great, and loved the whole mysterious ghost possession with ectoplasm leaking out of people's orifices. One thing I also loved but which I don't think was intended to be funny was when they tied the ghost possessed bus driver up and announced "don't even try and escape, that rope was soaked in saltwater". Yep, good old soaked in saltwater rope. I wouldn't trust any other type of rope. All in all it was a good episode, despite not being quite what I thought it was going to be. I give it an eight out of ten. It certainly beats reading Bone Key.
