I'd love to have vocalised my suspicion that Charles Charles, as an adventurer, would only settle down long enough to let his daughter grow up before heading off to experience more adventures before this was proved to be the case. However until today it was only a suspicion and to be honest it was a suspicion I wasn't aware that I had.

My favourite parts of this episode have to be the bits involving Emerson and Olive. I loved how Olive seemed to co-opt Emerson's personality traits as the episode went on. The best bit being when they saw Elliot dangling from the string of flags and synchronisicitiously (i'm 99% sure that isn't a word but can't think of a better one) said "Oh hell no." Personally I thought it was the diorama lady but not for the same reason as why she actually did it. I thought it was her but that she'd done it because the lighthouse woman wasn't a proper widow any more, thus she wasn't allowed to play in the diorama club any more. Or something.
It was awesome to see a bit of bonding between Olive and Emerson and I'm hoping that her status as a junior P.I. in training is something that comes back in later episodes (what is left of them anyway).

Chuck's father was a bit of a dick. I'm guessing that before he settled down with Charlotte he wasn't a very nice man, in the same way that I'm guessing his friends Dwight Dixon and Ned's father weren't very nice men. In fact I'm guessing he's got not very nice man business to attend to somewhere in the world. Possibly involving pocketwatches.

All in all this was a good episode but I don't think it was quite as good as the other episodes where I've been giving them ridiculously high scores. I think this one is probably about an eight or a nine, but it also gets an awesome seethrough raincoat with pictures of blueberry shortcakes on it. I want one of those raincoats, they're awesome!
