How do different types of music relate to your moods?

I'm not sure I understand this question. If I'm listening to a peice of music that's sad I guess that relates to how I feel when I feel sad I guess. If I'm listening to one that's upbeat and cheerful then I suppose that relates to how I feel when I'm cheerful and upbeat. This question is vague and pointless and I should be doing something else with my time other than stating the bleeding obvious. Although if I stopped stating the bleeding obvious what would I do with my life? Stating the bleeding obvious is like my vocation or something. Anyway, just so we're 100% clear, and so I get to state the bleeding obvious again, when I said about a peice of music that is sad/upbeat and cheerful I meant in tone, not that the music itself was feeling emotions. Imagine if that did happen though. It'd be mental. It's hard to imagine a peice of music suddenly breaking down and crying but that's what would happen and with alarming regularity if my imagination is anything to go by. So what was the question? Can music feel pain? Erm... maybe. Who knows? Go and ask some music.
